NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
Under the Guidance of the NSS Program Officer, Dr. Sulaiman of the New College, MEASI group of institutions and with the support from an extra-ordinary team of student volunteers, ranging across several batches and multiple disciplines, we were able to do tremendous work at the grass root levels.
We routinely set up camps in hard to reach areas, trained students to conduct surveys, created awareness on issues that were pertinent to that particular demographic and acquired medicines & supplements based on the insights from the health survey. These efforts culminated in a customized outreach program which resulted in increased footfall into our make-shift medical consultation camps and also we put incentives in place to positively influence health-seeking behavior & preventive measures.
